The fourth annual Woodside Plant and Produce Sale proved a blooming success raising a fantastic sum for the Trust.
The sale is held by residents of Woodside, near Ascot, who each donate surplus plants and homemade preserves to generate funds.
More than 200 people turned out to support the event held last weekend.
Organiser Jonathan Greenyer said: “The charity plant sale is great fun to run, it draws together the community, raises money for a great local charity and attracts fellow gardening enthusiasts into the village. In my fourth year I have been able to benefit from growing awareness of the event and extra support from my friends and neighbours. A lot of hard work is undertaken in greenhouses by us and others in the village. This year we also sold garden ornaments manufactured by a retired gentleman in the village, and we sold jams made in our own kitchen. The contribution of shrubs and perennials by Hillier’s Wholesale and Cash & Carry is a key feature of the event. Our thanks go to Hillier.”
