Representatives from Worting Community Trust recently visited Sebastian's Action Trust to learn more about the charity’s work and to see The Bluebells, the Trust's respite holiday home which was built exclusively for life-limited children and their families.
Trustees of the Worting Community Trust recently approved a generous grant for £19,000 towards the costs of a two-storey Counselling and Therapies Suite which when completed will enable families with life-limited children to access one-to-one and group support, as well as a resource library. The suite will also provide an accessible space for the families who use the house to meet and share experiences. In addition to helping fund the Suite, the Trust has committed £9,000 to help transform the hydrotherapy pool's changing room into a wet room, which will enable many more families whose children have complex and often multiple disabilities to use the facility which is contained within The Bluebells.
Jane Gates OBE and CEO for Sebastian’s Action Trust said "We are absolutely delighted that the Worting Community Trust has chosen to so generously support our work. It was my pleasure to show everyone around The Bluebells and to enable members to see our work in action. We welcome the Worting Community Trust into our 'family of families' and look forward to a long relationship with them".
