Last weekend, Northcote House in Sunningdale became Hogwarts for the day, all for our annual children’s Christmas party!
Our families were all invited to attend an unforgettable Harry Potter themed Christmas party. All the Trust Staff got into the spirit and were dressed as characters from the Harry Potter films.
With lots of magical activities to take part in, including potion making, Harry Potter themed fun and games, face-painting and musical entertainment, there were smiles on everyone’s faces!
Families could also have fun featuring in their over Harry Potter photo, courtesy of the magic of a green screen and a bit of wizardry on the computer!
The party was topped off with a delicious high tea in the Hogwart’s Dining Room and Dumbledore was there and presented a Christmas present to every child.
Katie Cowie, the Trust’s Head of Family Services, said ‘Many of the families we support find it hard to take part in mainstream social activities as very few places have the facilities required by a seriously-ill child who may be wheelchair-bound and using specialist equipment to help manage their condition. We ensured the Christmas party was as accessible to as many of our families as possible. We are delighted so many children and their families enjoyed the Harry Potter inspired party and are proud to have helped create special memories to last a lifetime’.
