A Summer Affair Raises £3,500
An incredible £3,500 was raised at the "Summer Affair" garden party held recently in
For the second year running ardent Trust supporter, Lindsey Bennett hosted a summer party in the grounds of her house in Ascot. Over 200 local people attended the “Summer Affair” and enjoyed a South African barbecue, entertainment and a raffle.
Live music from Len Hawkes, formerly of The Tremeloes and his son’s band, True Brit, got everyone into the party spirit as they danced and sang enthusiastically in front of the stage.
Jane Gates, Trust Director said, “ It’s a very exciting time for us as we’ve just started building The Bluebells. This money will be used to help equip the house which will open in 2011 and we are extremely grateful to Lindsey for her continued support.”
