Jane Gates OBE, Chief Executive for the Trust was delighted to welcome everyone to the opening, “We are thrilled to invite members of our community to the opening of our Surrey Heath Family Outreach Hub. Our fantastic facility would not have been made possible without the support of Surrey County Council, in particular Councillor Mike Goodman.

Our charity is ever evolving, seeking to address the unmet needs of the families we support. We were fortunate enough to recently open our first Family Outreach Hub in Slough and wanted to replicate with a smaller scale model, making our services even more accessible to families of seriously-ill children in Surrey and its surrounding areas.

Our new facility will enable families of children with complex health needs the opportunity to receive well-being therapy, emotional, social and practical support, and access to advice and guidance in a place that is warm, welcoming, non-clinical and safe. Being able to give families the support they need whilst at home, in hospital and now at our Outreach Hubs is central to our ethos of walking alongside families of seriously-ill children from diagnosis through treatment and beyond".
