Sebastian’s Action Trust would like to give their very special thanks to each and every person who made our Christmas party on Sunday, November 25th, such a huge success.
Families from all over Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey went along to two fun filled parties which took place during the afternoon at The Berystede Hotel in Ascot, Berkshire.
There was so much for them to do and everyone had an absolutely amazing time, marking the beginning of the festive season in great spirits.
Almost 360 people, including seriously-ill children the Trust supports, their parents, brothers and sisters and also grandparents, went along.
Families enjoyed food, entertainment, sensory play, a disco, arts and crafts, a magic mirror photo booth - supplied by Party Spirit Photo Booth, a treasure hunt, musical performances by Christmas Ariel, a virtual reality snowball fight, scalextric, soft play and snow machine, sweet stall, face painting and of course paid a visit to Santa in his grotto.
A real treat for the children was the chance to meet and pet reindeer.
Sebastian’s Action Trust also organises a party in the summer for its many supported families; Christmas in July. Christmas in July held at The Bluebells – the Trust’ home from home in North Waltham, Basingstoke - is a hugely popular event and brings Christmas forward so that the families of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions can celebrate Christmas early.
